He is 13.5 inches/35 cm tall and cost £195 plus postage and packing* Basil is a one of a kind artist bear and is mainly made from a beautiful piece of dense, curly, mohair hand dyed in a lovely a deep blackcurrant colour with very long, ivory coloured mohair used for his tummy, snout, ear backs and under tail. Basil's a very handsome bear, he has all the lady bears drooling over him, which does make a bit of a mess of his fur, however as he's very fastidious he always keeps himself impeccably groomed. He was quite anxious about going to the beach as he didn't want the wind messing up his hair, ' I much prefer photo shoots in the studio' he commented haughtily.
