Aubrey is a big, cuddly, one of a kind, teddy bear, he's made from one of the last pieces of English mohair that we are aware of. A cream, distressed mohair with a beautiful finish, it's wonderful how the light plays on it, with highlights and shadows, the mohair has it's own natural charm. Aubrey has a vintage Eton collar fixed with an old button stud, which he says adds to the his sense of elegance and Edwardian refinement.

Aubrey has shiny, black glass eyes a. beautifully embroidered pale brown nose and cream coloured wool felt pads. Aubrey has plastic pellets in his tummy, arms and feet which makes him more pose-able and flexible, allowing him to sit comfortably and to mould to your body if you pick him up and give him a hug...he's a bear you can hug.

Aubrey will sit quietly with you, he's not a bear to shout out or make a fuss, a gentle, soulful companion to reassure and console.

Sullivan, a one of a kind, artist bear made from vintage mohair, a charming bear and companion

Sullivan stands 14 inches (35cm) tall and is 10.5 inches (26cm) sitting, and costs £150.00 plus postage and insurance, £8.00GBP in the UK, £10.00 GBP everywhere else.

Sullivan is made from vintage German mohair, in dull light this is olive green but with a little sunshine it shines with a golden hue. The mohair has a fine, black floral pattern printed on it but as the pattern is large compared to the bear it has a more random and abstract appearance. Sullivan has dark brown, wool-felt pads, vintage black shoe button eyes and a black nose and mouth. Sullivan is stuffed with a mixture of polyester stuffing and plastic pellets, which gives him a more cuddly and soft feel.

Ginseng, a distinguished, one of a kind, artist bear made from a rich tan coloured, vintage mohair with a deep crimson, art deco pattern

Ginseng is a soulful, one of a kind, teddy bear, he's made from a piece of worn tan-coloured, vintage, German mohair with a faint , deep crimson,geometric, art deco print.. We would estimate the age of the mohair to the late 1920's or 1930's, it originated from a retired upholsterer in Germany.

Ginseng sits quietly and resolutely to share in your joys and woes, he's a dependable and trustworthy sort of chap, a bit worn and tattered around the edges but still with a hint of the debonair about him. He's a bear that seems to have enjoyed the good things in life and now just wants to settle down and cuddle.

Alexei, a sweet, innocent, one of a kind, artist bear made from vintage mohair

Alexei stands about 8 inches (20cm) tall, 6.5 inches (16cm) sitting and costs £85.00 plus postage and insurance, £6.00GBP in the UK, £8.00 GBP everywhere else.

Alexei is a gentle, one of a kind, teddy bear, he's made from a piece of worn, coffee coloured, vintage, mohair that originated from a retired upholsterer in Germany. Alexei has little, boot button eyes, a beautifully embroidered, black nose and cream coloured wool felt pads. He has glass beads in his tummy, arms and feet which gives him a little extra weight and makes him more pose-able and flexible. He likes to sit comfortably, wherever he is.

Alexei's a bit of a pudding, he's not fast or elegant, neither sleek nor refined, he's just a cuddly little bear. He can sit happily in your hand smiling back at you, he's a very comforting bear.

Old Fred a one of a kind, traditional artist bear made from genuine, German vintage mohair

Fred stands 15 inches/38 cm tall and is 12 inches/30 cm sitting.
Old Fred costs £150(GBP) plus postage and insurance, £8.00 GBP within the UK and £10 everywhere else.

Old Fred is made from a piece of soft brown, stubbly vintage mohair, a little worn in places but generally in very good condition considering its age, between 80 and 120 years old, he has taupe/mushroom coloured wool-felt pads, which have been lined for durability. He has shoe button eyes a charcoal coloured nose, embroidered from flecked wool and a sweet smile. Old Fred is stuffed with polyester stuffing and plastic granules to give him the saggy appearance typical of old bears.

The mohair was discovered following the retirement of a German upholsterer, there was a huge pile of it at the back of his shop, some of his family saw it as dusty, old rubbish to be quickly thrown away, but one knew somebody, who knew somebody who might like it. So for the last few years bear makers have been able to make their bears from genuinely old mohair, although, sadly there is very little left available now.

Old Fred is a sweet, cuddly guy with a gentle charm and personality. He is made from one of our older designs, dating back to 1992, like most traditional bear patterns it has a timeless quality, it could have been designed yesterday or 60 years ago. We think that the vintage mohair really suits him, he is quite a tired, soft and saggy bear, although newly made he looks like he's been around for a while, been hugged and loved and now looking for a quiet life with you. We hope you like him.
